Jennifer Johnson, 42, is a single mother to two children. With only one household income, she knew she would need financial assistance in order to receive breast reconstruction surgery. Jennifer also knew that not being able to work after the surgery would be a “great strain” on her family. However, she really needed the procedure: “it has been hard going through my recovery and not feeling whole because my life and body has changed drastically.”
The AiRS Foundation helped Jennifer receive stage one reconstruction surgery (expanders) in February of 2022.

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how thankful I am for all of your help. You don’t know how much this means to me and how much of a blessing it really was for me to receive this grant. I had no idea how I was going to pull the money together or where it was coming from so you were definitely an answered prayer.
