Kris Fernicola

Restoration Body Art

Jupiter, FL

I began as a medical tattoo artist in 2017 but the journey started about 8 years before that, with my mom going through a second cancer diagnoses and having a double mastectomy. I did much research as to what were her options after her mastectomy. At the time there were not many doing 3d tattooing, or at least, not many doing it well. I decided when I saw a tattoo artist doing them that this was the perfect fit for me and my art background and abilities. It became my passion….

I did not want to do a “quick 100 hour course “and decided to do a year apprenticeship with a tattoo artist in Florida who offered apprenticeships in permanent makeup and medical tattooing. John Hashey was my trainer for my basic where I was licensed in Florida and did over 1000 hour apprenticeship and then took my AAM testing and certification as needed for the state of NJ. My training continued with my advanced training at Sauler Institute at Penn Med with Mandy Sauler, At that time I opened my own business Restoration Body Art in New Jersey doing areola tattooing. Sauler Institute liked my work and asked me to come on as a contractor for NJ under Sauler Institutes team. Some of My other amazing mentors and trainers have been Stacie Rae With A.R.T. and Lanette Sherr in Miami.

My business has grown since 2017 with my focus on restorative work mainly areola tattooing (90% of what I do) as well as belly buttons, toenails and scar camouflage. I have amazing connections with many doctors and medical centers with locations now in Wayne, New Jersey and Jupiter, Florida. I have been featured in Allure Magazine (as an artist they recommend for realistic areola tattooing in Florida and NJ) I have also been featured on Channel 7abc NY, north Jersey news, a mini documentary on APlus Media about areola tattooing on breast cancer survivors. At the IPCS Miami show in 2019 I won 1st place for medical tattooing and I was a speaker at SPCP convention 2022 in Las Vegas speaking on realistic areola tattooing.

SUMA Ink Paramedical Restorative Tattoos

Miami, FL

Healing, Transformational and Empowering Tattoos!

I’ve been a licensed professional tattoo artist since 1997. I love helping women reclaim a sense of wholeness and completion after a long journey and am honored and humbled to do this work. I’m able to replicate and restore the natural look of a nipple and areola for women who have undergone mastectomy by custom-mixing pigments to match individual skin tones, and then gently tattooing over scars to create the appearance of a realistic nipple/areola, complete with light, shadows, textures and dimension. This specialized trompe l’oeil technique is also known as a 3D Nipple Areola Tattoo. I work with plastic surgeons offices in Miami, from my private studio in Homestead and with The Miami Cancer Institute at Baptist Health.

Nikki Tardibuono

BeautyKult

Westfield, NJ

As a young girl my first real interest was art. My love of all things art and beauty continued into high school and college where I received my degree in Fine Arts.

Today and with many licenses and certifications under my belt I am a Permanent Costmetic Artist. Additionally, I am also a Licensed Esthetician and Professional Makeup Artist.

I am the owner and operator of BeautyKult where we specialize in 3D Areola Tattooing along with Permanent Eyeliner, Scar Camouflage, Scalp Micropigmentation and Microblading.

What pushed me to be so passionate about Areolas and Breasts… My best friend is a two-time breast cancer survivor. Both times I stood by her side for all the ups and downs and witnessed her unbreakable strength as she endured her fight with great fortitude. After all the surgeries and treatment she was left with bare breast mounds and scars. I wanted to help her feel like herself again. The look on her face when she saw her new “boobs” for the first time made it all worth it for me.

My goal is to help as many women as possible feel that same way. I know how difficult this journey has been for you and I would welcome the opportunity to assist you in your final step of the reconstruction process. I want you to feel whole and complete and have your very own mile-wide smile!
