Organizations for Advocacy

Navigating the process, insurance, medical decisions, and legal rights concerning breast cancer can be overwhelming.  There are many agencies that provide advocacy for patients during this journey.

Although we have provided a short description, programs and fund availability can change.  Please contact the organization for more information on eligibility and how to apply.

The Breast Advocate® App is the first shared decision-making app for breast cancer surgery and breast reconstruction. Co-created by breast cancer specialists and patient advocates, Breast Advocate® provides evidence-based information and customized recommendations based on your diagnosis, personal preferences and values. It’s your treatment. Our mission is to empower you to have the conversation you want to have with your doctors.

The Breast Reconstruction Awareness Campaign is sponsored by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons(ASPS) and The Plastic Surgery Foundation (The PSF), and financially supported through corporations, institutions, private practices and individuals.

Its intent is simple: Educate, engage and empower women to make the decision that is best for them following a diagnosis with breast cancer. That involves informing women, family members, caregivers and the media that the breast cancer loop remains open until a woman is informed of all her breast reconstruction options.

The law is responsible for alerting tens millions of women about their Dense Breasts and their increased potential for undetected breast tumors. Furthermore, it has educated them all as to their rights as a patient and facilitated advanced screening that has saved tens of thousands lives.

Proceeds from HendasLaw.com support The Henda Salmeron Foundation which provides healthcare services, financial assistance, and breast cancer screenings for women who couldn’t otherwise afford it.

PAF offers a searchable and extensive list of resources/organizations to help with a large variety of things.
