Early Detection/Screening

Early Detection/Access to Screenings

Early detection of breast cancer drastically increases a woman’s survival rate. In addition to monthly self-exams, clinical breast exams and mammograms are imperative.  The following organizations provide information and access to these services.

Although we have provided a short description, programs and fund availability can change.  We do our best to keep this information as up-to-date as possible.

The National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) provides free and low-cost breast and cervical cancer screening services for people who can’t afford them.

CDC’s National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) provides breast and cervical cancer screenings and diagnostic services to women who have low incomes and are uninsured or underinsured.

Through our partner facilities, we provide free mammograms and diagnostic services for women in need.

Although they closed their program, Susan G. Komen provides information on where and how to get screenings.
