Kimberley’s journey has been full of twists, bumps and curves. Her “Okay, I got this” attitude was lost after seven weeks of tubes, bed rest and frustration with surgery scheduling issues.
Financially, cancer has been an overwhelming burden with the addition of transportation costs for doctor appointments, insurance premiums, and prescription medications. Kimberley has also been unable to use her arm correctly since her lymph node biopsy and upset she couldn’t help with this financial struggle.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the AiRS Foundation granted Kimberley the financial assistance she needed for her Stage 2 Bi-lateral delayed DIEP Flap Reconstruction. She also received a CAiRS kit full of items to help during her recovery.
