Have you or a loved one undergone a mastectomy due to breast cancer? Are you considering a mastectomy because of cancer? If you’re worried about how to pay for breast reconstruction afterward, we can help!
The AiRS Foundation provides grants to women who have undergone mastectomies due to cancer but cannot fully afford reconstruction after their surgery. While some insurance companies do cover breast reconstruction, which is often a vital step toward healing and feeling whole again, many insurance plans do not completely cover the cost, and many women simply don’t have insurance at all. That’s where we step in.
Applying for a grant for breast reconstruction is easy!
To be considered for a grant, you need to do three things:
- Download the Applicant and Client Agreement Forms. On the forms, you will need to provide basic information about your current income and insurance coverage, as well as a brief statement of need about your reason for pursuing a grant with us.
- Make sure you fit the candidate criteria, which is listed on the Applicant and Client Agreement Forms. This includes meeting the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
- Email or mail the completed forms to the following address:
director@airsfoundation.org
Attn: Director AiRS Foundation
3401 Lee Parkway Suite 1504
Dallas, TX 75219
It’s as easy as that!
We evaluate every applicant based on objective, nondiscriminatory criteria and we’re looking forward to hearing from you! If you have ANY questions at all, don’t hesitate to give us a call or send us an email. We can answer your questions and walk you through what is a challenging time for women who want reconstruction but cannot afford it.
Help Support the AiRS Foundation!
A number of women cannot afford any kind of breast reconstruction after a mastectomy due to breast cancer. But we can’t do this without support from our donors. Consider helping a woman in need today! Every dollar — even just one dollar — makes an enormous impact!
